HP Cost?
« on: 22 June 2010, 15:17:31 »
Commands can cost EP, can they cost HP too, there're a few things I want to do with this, I want one unit to have a berserk ability so that at the cost of half of their HP they can move to a location very fast, and when I start working on hero units, I want them to be able to tribute health for ep using a positive hp cost and negative ep cost. Self destruct units would also be pretty fun.

At the minute I'm using a <tick-immediately> self-effect with -25 health regen to quickly take away health during the start of beserk.

Edit: Probably not worth it if it works through effects ok so might as well delete this topic.

Don't delete. I think a simplified HP cost would be quite handy.

Easier to use = More mods?

I think a recourse effect handles it just fine.  That's kinda what they're there for, right?

i made a suicide bomber once, i just gave his attack a large explosion and told it to attack all. with a range of 1, this would kill him in the process.

I did something similar to what Zoythrus described and I just put in hp cost="something" and it worked.
