i would like to nominate my mod for a sticky then, we are trying to become GAE's flagship mod, so we dont want to be buried in a sea of posts. (if you want proof of our goal, ask silnarm)

Sticky policy is it gets stickied if it's updated for a week to two weeks. Basically a week.
Sorry I didn't see that your mod was updated before, but next time it is I'll sticky it.
We need to update the policy...now mods are getting updated more :/

Hmm... That's true... We obviously also don't want, er... lower quality, and incomplete mods to be stickied. I do wonder if they should be stickied at all? Perhaps it'd be easier to abolish that ruling (which was never official in the sense of the word). Definately, the "sticky ruling" should be reserved for complete mods. Note sure how to filter out poor quality mods, but there definately has to be a ruling so that someone can't just retexture magitech and then get it stickied by some fault in the ruling (fortunately, that is not a ruling, so we can use common sense for now, but I'm thinking we need to define it as an official policy).

To sum that up: Agreed, we need to update the policy, but aside from restricting the ability to be stickied to complete versions that perform a major change (use common sense to define major), I have no clue how.

Err... almost every single update of each mod/faction has been a major change...isn't it usually is?
We must just really think up of a better policy...

i think that mods that are in active development should be stickied, ones that people actually care about. quality of the mod should also be taken into account as well, that means that some fly-by-night modder cant get his project stickied even if it's in active development (that also means that retexes should be banned, unless they are of good enough quality as the Indians is).

Constellus is a good example of a mod that should be stickied. Constellus is bringing awesome graphics and gameplay, and mainly is VERY actively developed. Mod's like the V-Bros Packs(sorry Elim) shouldn't be stickied because they just aren't aren't very high quality. Military should be stickied because it's decent and has development, even though Constellus is surpassing it... :scientist:

Then nothing will be stickied very often.
