I'm a newbie, enjoying the game. But I have a quick questionnaire about the Megalest Map Editor.

When I want to edit the the map height and width, like for say, making a narrow map. I put in the numbers I want, that are to the power of 2 by the way, but when I click X nothing happens, there is no other button that says "done" or "Create" or "This is the button to change your Edit Values you idiot!". Is this normal, is there some secret word I have to say into the mic to save these preferences? I checked out the wiki, dey say nothing bout no buttons. Help me out here.

Using Vista home by the way.

So basically it just freezes? Err...happens to me too, sometimes.
Well, it does not freeze for me... Try again (Usually it will work after a few times or so), and make sure you are using the latest version.
Sorry I can't really help you...one other thing you could do is to try the other new map editor, the one that this editor is based on. http://sourceforge.net/projects/glestae/files/map_editor/1.5/map_editor.zip/download

No no no man. Apparently I described it wrong. Or that there isn't a problem.

Say the height and width where changed, 32 x 32 for example, there is nothing else to click but X, so the map doesn't change, how do I change the map height and width numbers?

and ill try out the new editor, see if that changes my problem. If there is one.

Hi commrade23,
I just tried exactly what you described, resizing a map to 64x64, then back to 128x128, then to 256x256, clicking the X on the settings window to close and apply these new values. It did work for me. I'm using an editor which is the same version and build date as yours, the only difference is that I'm doing it on Linux. I therefore assume what you describe is a bug in the latest version of the editor. Please edit your first post and make it say 'Bug: Megaglest Editor v1.5.0b3 (built July 03 2010)' so the developers will catch up on it.
Thanks for your report.
