The Hungarians had a base territory in the Carpathian basin (today: Transylvania, Slovakia, Vojvodina, and Hungary), and they went everywhere where they were hired. They were "adventuring" in Spain, France, Germany, Italy, and Greece (Byzantine Empire that time). At Augsburg, it was a crucial defeat from the westerners, what made "adventures" to the west impossible (however, it continued to the south).
