Glest, interesting if possible...
« on: 20 July 2010, 13:33:59 »
If I have on one model with 300 polygons and a texture with half green half blue, as a standing walking anim. then the attack anim is a new model with exact 300 polygons and same texture, just unwrapped over the other half of the picture, will it thne blend?

You need one animated model for one anim, they usually differ, can i have a texture with two textures in it (blue side green side) whne i make the anim for walking i use one side of the texture, when attacking anim i use another PART of the texture

Walking = blue
Attacking = green

1. If you're remaking the model, why not use a different texture entirely?
2.
No.
If you pay enough attention when a unit goes from one animation to another, you'll see it doesn't gradually go from its current animation to the next one.  It just jerks right into the next one.  Go ahead and test if it if you really want to know, but I'm pretty sure what you'd get isn't a model that gradually shifts from blue to green (or vice-versa), but rather just a model of one color that instantaneously switches to the other color when doing that animation.

Yes, its possible, but you should use separate blend files for each animation then.

But will it like "blend"/"fade" in with the other animations? so it won`t just green blue, but slowly become green, well not slowly but you get it..
