The first bug:Today I compiled the latest svn code inside, get glest3.3.7-dev, when I run the game, I chose the tech, the game appear inside the rain effect of white light rain, rain is very rough very white.

Not my video card problem, and this is the game's own rendering problems, this problem appears in the beginning of the game. You can try, and then observed.

Another problem, when I start the game, the memory usage from the 1.30G has rapidly risen to 1.89 - 1.97G.  the game became a pause screen feel, move the mouse slowly, and then I found the game the way people walk, step by step from the beginning of your feet together to go forward into a glide.  (This bug also appears in glest3.3.6)

I think there must be something seriously wrong for you. I never saw such a big memory usage up to now.
I tried here and at the beginning of a game ( using 3 factions ) I have a size of 33 MB ! which is about 50 times less than your numbers!?!

For others who might ask, in the irc-chat you said you use:
Windows7 and a Nvidia GTX480
Try Megaglest! Improved Engine / New factions / New tilesets / New maps / New scenarios

I get no such problem like you are getting. Using Titi's performance scenario (over 1000 units) I get memory use of around 520 MB and the rain particles look normal.

Softcoder fixed this in r877.

anything
