Hi,

I recently upgraded from kubuntu 10.04 to Kubuntu 10.10 beta (32 bit), and now MegaGlest is not working.

Glest starts when I run 'glest' from main folder but the screen remains blank (black) and nothing comes up, no intro video or anything, I have to kill the process. When running bin/glest.bin I get the following error:
Code: [Select]
./bin/glest.bin: error while loading shared libraries: libopenal.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directoryI already have libopenal1 installed (version 1.12.854-2), but there is no libopenal.so.0 in /usr/lib (there is libopenal.so.1 present though). The wrapper scripts creats a symlink called libopenal.so.0 in libs/ dir to /usr/lib/libopenal.so.1 but it doesn't change anything. I also tried removing all files in libs/ (all were symlinks) and running wrapper script again but no difference.

I was using MG 3.3.6 and have now upgraded to 3.3.7-beta2 in case if it helps but the error persists.

We already had problems with libs ....

Try this:
https://forum.megaglest.org/index.php?topic=5819.msg58570#msg58570

if it does not work:
- try to run without sound:

set
FactorySound=None
in your glestuser.ini ( or glest.ini )

Which gfx card are you using ( and which driver? )

Try Megaglest! Improved Engine / New factions / New tilesets / New maps / New scenarios
