Cool.  I'm sure a lot of people have been looking forward to it.

Returning to the original topic, I was born and raised in the USA.  My ancestors are mostly from Poland and Germany, with a few other odds and ends I'm sure.  No idea how I have a Scottish last name, though.

Is it just my imagination, or do we have a LOT of Germans and Australians?  Or maybe I'm just not used to it?

There is lots of political-ness about that, I doubt it will actually happen. Because we have a hung parliament, stuff is kinda messed up at the moment.

I envy the fact that small countries could actually do such a thing. Canada, on the other hand, has it's large size work against it if it wanted to supply internet to the entire country. Millions of square kilometers to cover would be... wow. Plus, the northern parts of Canada are largely wilderness, and have a population density of less than 1 person per square kilometer.

I don't see how the speed of the internet effects how many people of that country would be on the board. I had dialup when I originally downloaded and played glest (well, I downloaded it on a grandparents internet (isn't it wierd when a 60 year old grandmother has better internet?) but that's not the point, and it could have downloaded on dialup, had I the time to waste 6 hours).

Since when is Australia small? haha. Canada and Australia are pretty similar in that they're both big countries with highly concentrated lines of populace around their boarder (or coast.) Except for the fact that we have desert, not snow  

P.S my grandma found out the other day that I'm a little bit Scottish.... or Irish..... can't remember :S

i am from saudia arabia (country of the sword) its spelled like this in arabic المملكة السعودية العربية my anecestores are from the ghamdi clan (or house) they emerged from extremley hard and weather and terrien areas and settled in the mountains of albaha. i live in al taif city. abit cold but very beutiful. it one world's cleanest city once if i am not mistaken. probably saudia's cleanest. or asia's (?)

I didn't expect it to snow in Saudi Arabia.  I would have thought it was too dry and maybe too warm.  I guess I learned something.

Himmalayha or however you write it, middle of the world, still snow, also Saudi Arabia can have snow on the mountains and high lands, even here up in Norway, sometimes we have it hotter than Turkey

why no snow? it is a cold city. al taif is gets more cold then other cities because it is attop of mountains. jeddah is extremley hot and you may die from it. because it is very down deep.

al baha.... the town my aneccestores setteled at. sevrel villages seprated across very high mountains and rivers and huge cliffs and sheer walls. and boulders and forests. its deadly cold. but my annecestores lived and survived in it somehow. stone houses and old strectures... but they developed to modern world. even though. al baha is still way to far back. its probably outraced by all cities in saudia. it is enviormental, and natural and very beutifull town. i hope it will stay this way and the industrial crap wont destroy it. i dont think it's terrien will allow any company to get any hope about it. i prey so

Same. I knew mountains can have snow, but never expected a large city to have it that close to the equator... Of course, you don't know "cold" until you've been to canada . Where I live, temperatures can range from -40 - +40 (Celsius of course) throughout the year.
