Colorful :) Sometimes it also seems fairytaleish...(But in a good way) Nice tileset. Could be a little bit bright for some people, but it's ok for me.

It's supposed to be fairytale-ish. It's based on fantasy elves really, and elves usually had magical forests of great beauty. I forgot to comment on how it looks great Trappin! I loved the water too (though a tad more transparent might have been nice).

Yeah, I remembered that after I made my post, I guess forgot why it was fairytaleish.  ::)
Anyways, yep, a great tileset. But it could be too bright for some people. I remember one part of my game, it was really really bright.

Quote
The hidden refuge of Elrond Halfelven, founded by Elrond in the Second Age against the assaults of Sauron in Eriador. It lay in a deep valley in the western foothills of the Misty Mountains, and endured, under the protection of Elrond's Ring Vilya, until the War of the Ring and beyond. After the War, the Ring's power ended and Elrond passed over the Sea, but Rivendell itself remained, at least for a time, in the keeping of Elrond's sons Elladan and Elrohir.

Rivendell is a direct translation or calque of the Sindarin name Imladris and Karningul is the Westron name for Rivendell - meaning "deep valley of the cleft".

Gameboy: Imladris is a tileset to go with my current elven faction. It's going to have a lot of different trees and objects, no repeated objects from the original forest tileset.

Imladris has always been a favorite of mine and I hope it finds a new life with this mod.

Current versions of GAE and Megaglest both come with updated versions of the viewer.

Yep. They seem to be the same, besides that the MG version can load particles and that the GAE has more options on colors...
OK I've uploaded both of them.

I left the beta up for weeks and weeks and not one comment other than the omega download fiasco. I figured everything was cool and set the download to FINAL BUILD status.

Okay, fix the leaves.  /shakes fist

wait, what exactly isn't working?

XML and associated files are all lower case = Linux is fine.
Works on WinXP SP3
Works on MegaGlest 3.3.7.2
Works on Glest 3.2.2
Works on GAE V.0.2.12

You folks are welcome to modify anything in this tileset and then post the modded file for inclusion within the next build, my work is always CC0 <zero> public domain. Doesn't mean I wont be grouchy about it, but there ain't no such thing as a free lunch, no?

Not working? If I recall, I had an error about a bad file or something (though I may be thinking of a different tileset). Not sure which it is though. Just remove the reference to it from the XML.

Not sure how to do that? Give me the exact error (and no, it doesn't need GAE. All tilesets except fernland work on all engines [stares disapprovingly at fernland]).

Heh, whenever gAMeboy updates Elves, he should include this tileset.
That reminds me, I should create an Elves page on the wiki...not sure if I should, since the Glest Guide has that really good guide anyways.

Are you slackin'? ;D (In all honesty just because I have a section on the glest guide doesn't justify for not having a wiki article on it. (for the record: my dream, a wiki with all the popular factions and every single unit and upgrade in them!) Besides, that elves webpage I made was totally amateurish and I'd rather forget it (it remains largely for posterity). Though, I did like the concept of drop down menus, though next time I will code said feature myself.)

return 0;
}
endOffTopic();

So download the elves faction. It is an excellent mod, and goes hand in hand with this tileset. The tileset was originally made to accompany said faction.

okay, i'm done with the new texture. but for some reason, PS doesn't save the TGA with a transparency, so here's the .psd file which will open easily in The Gimp, from there u can save it as a .tga and ur good to go :)

Thanks for the update gAMeboy. I've got the same problem, Paint.net doesn't support this file type.
