[Solved] Failed to Lock Sound Buffer
« on: 22 November 2010, 03:54:27 »
I keep getting an error message saying failed to lock sound buffer. Do you know how to fix this bug?  :)

Operating System: Windows XP

Graphics Card: GeForce 9400 GT

What I am doing: Nothing really, I click the Glest game icon, the splash screen comes up and then the error message pops up at random times weather during a game or still on the splash screen.

normal resolution of the monitor: 1024 x 768

Have I changed any settings in Glest: I lowered the volume once but it was after the problem had begun to pop up and I raised the volume back to wear it was right after I lowered it.

I hope this isn't too serious a problem. I do think the game is awesome! I hope I gave enough information. If you need anymore info just comment. Have a Great Day!!  :)

I receive an unhandled exception of "Failed to lock direct sound buffer"?
Download your soundcard´s latest drivers and install the last DirectX. Then if problems persist you can deactivate sound acceleration in dxdiag (start->run->dxdiag).

Cool :) I guess this thread can be locked now, and someone can add [Solved] to the title, I guess...
