Good start/job
But it shouldn't it be like this...?
Quote
-Don't post in all CAPS
-Even in the off-topic board, you can be off-topic. (Don't go overboard)
or should it be something like
Quote
(But not too much)
Since we're already speaking of common sense...Also cause some people, they might just use that as an excuse. I don't know why...

Rule: No pornography.
Action on violation: Pornography and(possibly) account deletion.
I think it should say:

Rule: No pornography.
Action on violation: Account suspension and(possibly) account deletion.

Actually, pornography nets you an instant deletion, and repeat offenses will result in an IP ban.

How do you automate instant deletion on pornography?

EDIT: and how do you define what is pornography? Is "light" pornography with only pictures allowed? why/not?

EDIT ON EDIT: Im gonna start a topic about this! ;)

Gabbe, you are out of control. Your signature and topic have been removed. Please control yourself and act MATURE.

This is a work friendly site. If there's nudity, consider yourself *gone*.

Sorry, I agree with Omega about your old sig...it's wasn't really appropriate.  :|

For your other thread, I'm pretty sure it was removed cause of discussing about pornography... sexuality, that's fine to discuss (for me at least) but the community can't really handle topics like that.

On other forums, I wouldn't have a problem with a (non-explicit) sexuality topic, but I think this forum has proven that it can't handle mature topics. :-\

I thought Gabbe's sig was humorous. Jeez, I don't get why it's considered mature to act like sex doesn't exist.
We need to react within reason, I seem to remember the Amazons mod had a concept picture with some upper female nudity, in the context I considered that fine. Because it wasn't elaborate, it was just a subtle part of the picture. But you guys will know if you've gone to far with something.

Porn doesn't need to be discussed that's an obvious decision. No.

They aren`t disresepcting anyone; its not like im asking "Heey, you wanna show yourself naked??!!11??"
I kind of agree with John on the fact that this forum can`t handle mature topics, then again, i think my topic was fine, really, what is so wrong with sexuality? Then i dont mean the pornographical kind of sexuality. And warlord, i kind of understands your not accepting this kind of thing because i am familiar with your religion and values in the middle east.

The board simply needs to be work safe and family friendly. Topics should be appropriate for kids and suitable enough that if your boss/teacher/co-worker/girl friend is looking over your shoulder, they won't see or read something explicit. For example, moderate swearing is fine, but when posts contain generally accepted very bad words or many occurances of profanity to the point of which it can be judged as unacceptable, the post may be removed or modified at the moderator's choice.

Likewise, posts should not reference topics that can become racial slurs or hate material. For example, I once removed references to nazi support from a post before. We don't allow that on the board.

Simply put, try and keep things appropriate and mature. I don't care if you're 13, 21, or 45 yourself, please keep in consideration other readers and especially random viewers of the board. What if some new player comes to the Glest Board, and the first topic they see contains references to adult content, hate material, and heavy profanity? That will not give them a good impression of the board and tarnishes our reputation. In other words, think not about yourself, but about others when you post.

So, next time before you hit the Post button, read your post, and consider it from someone else's point of view.

Some more things I don't like to be discussed:

- Religious debates, especially if they start to get aggressive !
We have people from all over the world here and thats why this might quickly cause trouble.
As long as a discussion is friendly its somehow ok. FOr example a "Merry Christmas" will be allowed :) .

- military heroism

Apologize to you, then again, i live in Norway, and all, the muslims here are celebrating christmass even though they dont go to church, and they don`t belive in Jesus or God, well sorta, they belive in Allah. And christmas has become sort of integrated in our culture, christianity is no longer so much needed in it, but yes, i apologize warlord ;)

PS im not christian, but i`ll still celebrate it, for fun :D

@**holish is you posting this swear, its not @**holish thing, the governmants grow stronger with feudel system and the army is bigger

Sorry, I know I shouldn't have said that and I apologize. But I do feel kind of uncomfortable with some of the things you say, mostly your disregard to anything that doesn't kill people.

Sorry for being off-topic. I agree I don't think these debates are good for such a small community, we should stick to more harmless things.
