[invalid] End-of-game prompt reacts incorrectly
« on: 17 December 2010, 01:21:26 »
When you get the end-of-game prompt "You won, do you want to quit?" and respond to it by clicking on the right hand side button 'No' you may return to main menu nevertheless. This does not always happen but sometimes.

This is what, SVN HEAD? Has this always been happening?

I know for a fact now that this happens on 3.3.7.2, but I am pretty sure it also happened before. It's just that you always go "huh, did I just hit 'yes' or 'no', well, nevermind..." when this happens. But when it happened to me recently when we had finished a lengthy 3.3.7.2  game (where I was connected as a client) I, for once, consciously pushed the button to remain in the game, but it did kick me back to the main menu. So right now it is no more this weird feeling of something possibly being wrong there but I know it for a fact.

I guess it can be hard to reproduce, though. And luckily it's not a grave bug.

Thats no Bug!

It happens when the game ends and the server already quitted! When in this case the client shows his message he does not realize that the server is gone. Once the user presses No he starts to continue the game soemhow. Now the client process realizes that the server is gone and quits to end game menu. So I think this behaviour is maybe a bit confusing, but no bug.
