Technically, there's a tileset object for grass, but it lacks tons of variety and maps have always been very limited in Glest.

Oh yes, Sorry I realize now I didn't explain myself too well.

I mean so it is on the ground texture itself.

Atleast i know AOE3 is heavy (and i mean HEAVY) on normal maps.
