Except, that's not the same word really. If I recall, "Glest" is not a word in either english nor spanish, and was meant as a non-sensical noun to name the game. Arbitrary, new, and unheard of.

It comes from OpenGL and ESTrategia (Spanish for "strategy").

I was only posting it because it was similar. I realised it was missing the 'l' . I didn't know what the actual etymology was though. Thanks John.

I don't think this was at all intended though. Since the definition is as per john said, this is probably just a sheer coincidence, and adding it to the FAQ would be wrong then.

Well, apparently "Glest" means sparse/sparsely in Swedish...
