Judging from the huts and so on, Eliminator loves the (somhow new) transparency possibilities for model textures in MG :-).

well, animate them differently. we all know that solely retexing a model just makes it look like crap.

I was thinking about it and don't you think it would looks stupid if rocks or spears came out of the wall of a hut or pyramid?

idk, Aztec-like? perhaps the icons shouldnt be pics of the units, but maybe symbols that represent them?

also, will this be GAE compatible?

Every mod is GAE compatible. MG doesn't have any breaking features that would prevent it from working in GAE.

It might not work well but it should work.  You might end up with spotted purple units if they use jpg textures and you're on 0.3.2, though.

you know, those purple/orange spots are annoying, the default tex should be something more appealing.....

well, ive tried to play the more recent Vbros stuff, and some of the units are tex-less.....and that's frustrating....

All I have left to do is the temple and the icons before I release a beta1. Any ideas of what they should look like?

Temple should look like This: http://www.turbosquid.com/FullPreview/Index.cfm/ID/315758, except about half the stairs.
What I did the Phorin temple was have the doorway at the side.

Icons should be stones with markings carved into them.

From your current model:
-Make the steps a bit smaller and put a lot more of them.
-Make the top bigger and add some of that stuff seen in the other pictures.
-Add layers to your pyramid as seen in both pics.
