alignment possibilities

Hello I'm currently working on a game and the glest RTS engine seems to be an amazing fit :D. I am wondering though if any one has any thoughts on having an alignment possibility. Example you destroyed a building of a neutral AI, that AI then becomes hostile to you.

Hi, welcome! Sorry, but I don't think that has been implemented yet in Glest, MG, or GAE.

Thanks for the welcome.

 I haven't been able to start playing with the engine, (hopefully that'll change this weekend.)
But I am very excited to start, if I find anyway to make it happen I'll let everyone know.
(probably take a few weeks at least, especially while I'm getting to know the language.)

Welcome to Glest, Seto. I think you'll find Glest to be very modable and very fun to use.

To answer your question, there is no current neutral option, nor any way to change the "alignment" of players mid-game, though there's no reason to believe that won't ever appear in the future (alliances was a popular feature request once). However, at the moment, GAE and MegaGlest are planning a merger into one, unified engine, so feature requests are partially on hold at the moment, and priorities will probably be redefined.

I look forward to seeing some mods from you. I recommend you take a look at the Glest Guide (currently undergoing a major revamp) and the Glest Wiki.

It is Ticket #140 in the GAE trac.
But no milestone is set, so hopefully it will be seen in Glest 4 :D

4.x? But in all honesty, there's no way to know and no sense troubling ourselves with it now. Instead, let's just wait and see what happens. :)

Yes...of course. I'm just saying that because I think since that would take time to implement, it would be after the merge.  :angel:
