Default screenshot format
« on: 1 April 2011, 15:52:36 »
* I think JPG (not PNG) screenshots should be the default
Only if 100% quality is used.

I think that for the average user, a default configuration (read: which can be easily changed by non-newbies) which results in screen shots with smaller file size is much preferable over large files. For example, for error reporting this is pretty crucial, I would not want to make people upload 2.3 MB files just to report an issue which can be demonstrated evenly well with a 600KB file.

I'll compromise with a setting in the options menu and a default of at least 85 (90 would be my ideal balance for your situation).

Thanks Softcoder. It still defaults to PNG, though, right? Do you prefer this format for some reason?

PNG files are usually around 1 MB for me... Anyways, when people set stuff in the options, it saves to glestuser.ini right?
