[invalid] 3.50 beta 2: Preview image issues

The first one:
I just install the 3.5 beta 2 build and want to play custom vs AI. And that's what i saw for 1 second:

And after that, there was no preview images of the any map in the game. This error appears everytime, when i change the map.
The message in the log was:

And yeah, Alt+F4 doesn't work, i think it'll be geat if you fix it.

Hi, thanks for reporting these bugs; but your image hosting site doesn't allow hotlinking...Please use something like imageshack instead. Thanks.

Btw, the scenario's preview images are also in trouble:


Trees in scenario's maps too..


Plus one more peasant bug: the only way to bring resources manually - is clicking on the trees/rocks/goldmines. Peasants can't bring any kind of resources by directly click on the main building, they just stop.

And not a bug, just a miss: we can not cancel our buildings under construction, only destroy them.

Actually, the former could be considered a bug (or more accurately, a missing feature?) as suppose you are harvesting, then the worker is interrupted to build something or to run away, and once done, you want to immediately deposit the resources you have, or perhaps you just need 5 gold so you can cancel a worker after only mining 5 units of gold, but right clicking the building does the default follow. It ideally would deposit the resources if you have a unit carrying resources "follow" a building that can store resources.

As for the latter, how can you cancel the construction of a sky scraper when you already built 40 floors? It's the same way in Glest. Your worker lay down the foundations first, and if you tell them to do something else, you can continue building later, but you can't decide to entirely stop building unless you wish to forfeit all resources you spent on the building.

Yeah, that's more of a missing feature. That reminds me Wciow's "ghosts"(that particle unit) in Undead.

teersen, you obviously have some broken video there. The OpenGL issue you mention, Error creating texture 2D, is one I also had (on Linux) when I had some bad video drivers installed for my ATI X1650 (RV560) video card.

You also have an outdated and now unsupported version of your operating system installed. Consider upgrading to the latest Windows XP service pack (also for security reasons, this is very much recommended), and see if things are still wrong for you then. If they are, please check whether an updated video driver is available for your video card. See http://faq.megaglest.org/ on the topic of how to get updated video drivers also for old hardware.

If it's still an issue then, please report which version of Windows you are on then, which video card you are using, and whether this or similar obvious video issues also occur on other games for you (please test some other games which make use of 3D video). Please also report about your other hardware constraints (RAM, CPU) then.

Yes, probably it's only my problem, but in v3.4.0 it works correctly.
My video card is pretty old (ATI Radeon X1300 Pro - lol, yeah) and now it isn't supported by ATI, but there were not any problems in other games ever (as far as i remember). I'll try to update driver and report the results later.


If you rotate camera in this position, for example, the objects on the left side of the screenshot have shadows, but on the right haven't, again my trouble? Or it's just a defect of the game engine?

And if you press ESC and exit the game, and then in the statistics screen you press ESC again, there will be the same exit window. But i've already exit the game, there is no reason to ask me this twice)

That was just for people who had mouse problems...

It's hard to say. Admittingly, shadows are pretty buggy in Glest, but based on your previous error, you seem to have a bad driver. Update your graphics driver first, then see if the error persists. I've never had that specific error though.
