[invalid] 3.50 beta 2: Interface bug?
« on: 20 April 2011, 20:20:45 »

As you can see on the screenshots (the main building is selected), there is a little interface bug: buttons are over the text in almost all factions (except Indians and Magic).
Does anybody have it too? Works in resolution 1280x1024.

Yes, it is exactly as at you. At the smaller resolution all is good.

What on earth type of resolution is that? 1280x1024 is neither 16:9 nor 4:3. Try a standard aspect ratio and see if that works.

On my old monitor recommended resolution is 1280x1024, now first monitor is 1920x1200, second monitor is 1440x900, laptop is 1366x768.
Of these only one is "standard".
Although ,yes, on the laptop all okay with this...

There is no problem in 1280x960 (4:3) resolution. It seems only 1280x1024 resolution has this bug.
Also:

Field "Orders On Queue" is invisible under the buttons. Works in 1280x960 and 1280x1024.

Well, neither your old monitor or either of your others is a standard aspect ratio (standard is defined as widescreen being 16:9 and standard being 4:3). Glest was initially only made for 4:3 and was buggy otherwise, though both forks should have fixes to allow 16:9 to work. Your laptop is (roughly) 16:9, so it works fine, though the issue how Glest and all its forks render things. I'm not entirely sure how it works, but it's explained to me as a virtual "surface" which determines the placement of GUI, etc and would need a major overhaul to fix. :(

My only advice is to set a 4:3 or 16:9 resolution in the INI or options menu.

Common 16:9 resolutions:
1280×720 (720p/i TV standard)
1366×768
1600x900
1920x1080 (1080p/i TV standard)

And 4:3:
800x600
1024x768
1152x864
1200x900
1280x960
