3.5.0 known network problems
« on: 24 April 2011, 04:23:59 »
We have discovered some problems with our network layer and are working to fix these issues and will release a 3.5.1 once we have tested and corrected this (and possibly other important defects).

For anyone who knows how to build from svn, please try the current code and let me know if it plays better for you (performance improved, network stable, etc)

Thanks

Here is a screenshot (to prove it) that 4 of us beat 3 megas which has maximum resource mulitplers! What a monster game (had a peak of 739 units concurrently at one point):

This was using 3.5.1 (which should be release sometime soon).

Epic looking game, hopefully connection problems are fixed now...

Windows users feel free to test out a test version of 3.5.1 here:

And report back any problems.

As soon as 3.5.1 is released i will update the FreeBSD Port. That means i won't release a 3.5.0 Port for FreeBSD. I dont't want to spend time on a buggy release at all.

@softcoder, what do you think how long will it takes till 3.5.1 will be released? Within the next two weeks? (in that time i'll have enoutgh time to work on the FreeBSD update ;-) )

Is the plan to still release MegaGlest 3.5.1 today or has a problem come up to delay it's launch?
