This is a dinosaur faction.
All the units are prehistorical reptilian units.

I think the triceratops looks awesome!

Collectors/workers could be egg hunting dinsaurs, my idea. But what era are you making them for? Cretacious, Jurassic or even Triassic? What i also think you should take advantage of is water units.

Wow i just finished watch Jurassic Park 3 just a few hours ago. If i learned anything from that is that infantry should be useless against them as in the movies people really are hopeless against them...

the yellow one is NOT a raptor, for raptors have feathers (yes, the movies are wrong).

How would you make feathers in glest? And the texture on that looks pretty low res. It could very well be a raptor. Most certainly it does not look like a Tyrannosaurus..Way too small for that.

@zoythrus yes they did have feathers, but since it IS a misunderstood fact most people still draw them without feathers. I only called it that cause the shape is more similar to a raptor than like a t-rex or allosaurus but it is too big to be a raptor as well. (doesen't have the signature claw as well) It could be a made up generic dino shape creature, (the size of its eye seems way too off to be realistic).

Either way it looks like its eating a technician right out of a flying machine, i dont think its dino wings.

Hopefully it'll be an incubator of some sort, as I can't think of any other way that'll fit and etc in a rts...reminds me of the lizard faction.

Love it!

Real dinosaurs spanned millions of years and most species you pick out never met.

BUT I don't think that's a problem at all.  They are all instantly recognisable dinosaurs and they fit well together.

Gameplay I'm less sure about.  But you could have a tribe that rides them into combat rather like mahouts riding elephants.  Or this could be aggressive glestimals...

The big yellow dino is a placeholder, also the T-Rex will be small because it has to fit into glest.
Yes, we made ALL the models and are still making more.
Any ideas for units?
Some of the dinos are so tall that they can go for air.
Also there will be only 3 buildings in this faction (Nest_lv1, Nest_lv2, Nest_lv3) When you upgrade the nest you can produce more dinos.

I don't know, how does the AI work with that? Seems kinda unusual.
Hmm...such nice models surely needs a new n' nice tileset!

Dinosaurs would allow several possibilities, though it would mostly have to be therapods, since plant eaters are little more then food with some exceptions. raptos could be cavalry, the T-rex something like a battlemachine, possibly make age advancements like Triassic, Jurassic, and cretaceous periods, for naval my suggestion would be the liopleurodon, 25meters long and weighing 80 tons, despite what wikipedia says most sources agree on these estimates so it could be an apex super unit but unable to attack on land
