At any rate, I laugh at the thought of someone actually searching for megaglest with keywords like keygen or serial, seeing it's open source and freeware. Of course, mods should generally be downloaded with care, and it never hurts to pass suspicious files through a virus scan. I would advise against downloading anything posted by someone with a very small post-count, as that could be a bot, though we have not had any trouble with malware appearing on the board yet.
Perhaps for future Glest, we could have "official" torrent links like
OpenOffice. That would be debatable or controversial probably, but I believe it would do more good than bad, if any. After all people will probably upload it later. Some will be fine, but some will also be affected. That's why we should have official ones. For mods, I don't really believe people will post NEW mods with viruses or spyware, but most likely when future Glest gets popular (hopefully), they would probably hide them in well known mods/old mods. Especially with Windows Installers, it's very easy for people to do...I think.
lol..."megaglest trainer"? It's all about skillz, mostly. Practice, practice, and practice. Then have fun.
