There are tooltips in megaglest telling price though, so if merging with GAE is something that is not going to happen, the existing ui could be used.
I for one, though (as well as the majority of players and our very supportive GAE team) think that the merge still should go on.
Tooltips in GAE allow the header (in that image, "Produce %s") to be translated, the description, and all unit names themselves. This doesn't just mean you can just make a normally English mod German (though you certainly can do that very easily if the modder created a
full translation, such as the ones Apocalyptic Dawn and GAE's modified Magitech have), but you can also expand your tooltips. For example, you can rename a unit by changing only ONE line of code in the faction language file. You could also describe a what a building or upgrade does (you could be practical and explain straight what it does, or you could be cryptic and follow the theme of your faction). You can also fix casing issues such as allowing something to be all capitals (if the UNATF faction existed in MegaGlest, it would appear as "Unatf", while GAE's translation allows it to appear as "UNATF").
Basically, it allows all and every instance of a string to be changed, language specific. Granted, adapting this to MG would not be quite so easy as it seems, since GAE went a total GUI overhaul that took... quite a while. Every square inch of that GUI is modder customizable, though.
