Fantasy Pack
« on: 21 July 2011, 16:15:50 »

This is the official thread for my fantasy pack. Its like the mega pack but includes fantasy factions.

So far the factions that will be included are:
Dwarves
Undead
Grey Elves
Goblins

Possibly I will include Gameboys Elf faction and Madmantis Woodsmen in the pack, but I need to ask their permission first.
Check out my new Goblin faction - https://forum.megaglest.org/index.php?topic=9658.0

What engine will this be for? GAE or MegaGlest?

Sounds good to me. Maybe when you're done, I will expand a GAE fork, with extra features like unit particle systems (technically, you could have this yourself if you only use the particle options both engines support [Wiki].), custom leveling, guard, patrol, faction loading screens (you can also add this yourself. Even though MG and GAE sadly do not use the same method, they are backwards compatible, since the extra image in MG will be ignored by GAE, while the extra XML tag in GAE will be ignored by MG.), etc.

Sounds good!

At the rate Wciow is going at, it wouldn't surprise me if he gets this done by late 2011! :D

This sounds cool! Will it be an updated dwarves? And I can't wait to see the Goblins.

Maybe there should be a list of MG/GAE compatible features? That would help a lot of undecided modders out there.

I'll expand the Engines page for some of these new features. Look for it in a bit. Updated: https://docs.megaglest.org/Engines
