Another nice free strategy game
« on: 22 June 2005, 21:58:52 »
http://dark-oberon.sourceforge.net/ - beautiful, plasticine graphics and a loooong way before this game will be fully playable. But I think something cool may come out of it!

Hope I can post about it here. I compiled it today on my comp, and loved the gfx :)

Yes, nice graphics!
Is not 3D? Is like Age of EMphires, with sprites?

Yeah, I think so. Looks cool, but it will take some time before it will be playable.

I think this game looks this way better. I like old looking games. I mean this type of games are classics. But the sad thing is : these old games can't run on new operating system's (winXP)

If they don't run in the Win95 compatibility mode, you could try DOSbox. It requires a relatively fast machine for games that came out for the earlier Pentiums and don't run in XP. But you're right, there are some older games that just won't work anymore.
