Png tiles reduce FPS versus bmp?

MG 5.3.2/3-alpha specific query.

Hi, one of my tile sets I'm working on gives me lower FPS than others for same maps/units etc. Only thing I can think of is that switching the main tile images from bmp to png to reduce file size may be the cause?

It is more likely to be tileset objects -g3ds- than tiles.
