I say: But Devs should work for the Modders and Players, not against them.
Of course, you could just code and code and code, but if nobody likes what you are coding, then why code it in the first place?
If the Modders and Players wish for a merge then they should get it. Or you will end up coding two forks for nobody but yourself.
What good does it do, if both forks die away (it will happen, actually it already started by deciding against the merge)? Wasted time on both projects...
