It would also be nice to have downloads multi-threaded, so that you can download from two (or more) locations at the same time. At least it would be nice to still be able to download mod descriptions and preview images while you're already have larger downloads running.
I think I once asked for downloads to be single-threaded because I was worried about bandwidth, but it now turns out this is not an issue at all. Sorry for changing my mind there...
