The rain (on all screens in the game) is really annoying. It slows down and heats up my PC. You should remove it or let users to disable it.

How to remove rain 101:
1. Open the XML for the tileset you are using.
2. Change the line <weather .../> to say <weather sun="1.0" rain="0" snow="0"/>

Most tilesets don't even have rain. It has to be chosen by the modder, and even then, it's just a percentage thing.

Don't do this, theres a way to do it for the whole game. Just wait for titi's response.

this is a feature of the next version and not available in 3.5.2 .
If you know how to do it, please try the svn ( or alpha) version and give feedback. ( its in ingame options there )
