When you loose a game but do not disconnect, or a hosting, it would be nice if the game could (if defined in an option) switch to a 'render on demand' mode, where the game does not render anything (black screen), or just displays game statistics (like those you see by the end of a game). This would save on CPU cycles and decrease latencies for the other players.

At least for people who, like me, host an 8 player game and get rm -rf'd within 5 minutes, but keep hosting the game, it would make sense to have MG become a more light-weight process which can be put in the background, allowing me to do some other stuff until the game is over for the other players, too (by when another trumpet sound would be good to have).
