[fixed] v3.5.2: I cannot write a slash in the chat
« on: 2 September 2011, 19:30:39 »
When I try to type a slash ("/") in the chat, it removes all what I typed and I have to write it again.

I reported it to tomreyn (or softcoder) few months ago, so i just want to make sure you did not forget this issue. ;)

I might make a video for better understanding to the problem.

Please read the bug reporting guidelines and provide more information as indicated there. The most obviously needed information would be the version of the game you are reporting about.

Right, sorry.

As I wrote before, I cannot write a slash without deleting everything written. When I am fast enough, it may be possible to send the message. But in almost every case the typed line of a text disappears.

My OS: Ubutnu 11.04 64bit
MG version: 3.5.2

The video is private and not available to the general public.

Were you using the installer (downloaded from megaglest.org/sourceforge.net) to install, or are you using a different build, such as playdeb.net's or another one?

Does this also happen with the development version (r2518) I passed to you yesterday?

Whoops, my mistake, I apologize :) It should be displayable to everyone now.

I installed MG from this file: http://sourceforge.net/projects/megaglest/files/current_release/MegaGlest-Installer-3.5.2_i386_64_linux.run/download

When I wanted to launch it from the terminal, I got this error:
Code: [Select]
lelkoun@laptop:~/software/linux/megaglest352$ /home/lelkoun/software/linux/megaglest352/megaglest
/home/lelkoun/software/linux/megaglest352/megaglest: error while loading shared libraries: libxerces-c-3.1.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

you should start it as ./start_megaglest or as ./megaglest from this directory.
If the error message persists, please install the package libxerces-c3.1
