A player should be allowed to give up and spectate the map
« on: 9 September 2011, 23:17:37 »
In order to view the whole map, I have to wait untill someone kills me.
That sucks.

When I have nothing to lose, I want to give up and watch other players fighting instead waiting ;)

When you create a new custom game, at the bottom right corner is the option to show 'advanced' settings.  Show the advanced settings, and change the 'fog of war' setting.

Now you can see the whole map even whilst playing.

Well, letting users to know what does everybody else during the game would give them an advantage (and I guess it would piss off a lot of players), which is not what I meant.

So you'd want an 'I quit" feature that makes you an observer (and removes you from the game), right?

This would be a good feature from my point of view, too. I bet it's also a feature that is not easy to implement properly.
