One way to make MegaGlest more known is to take part (and at least be nominated for a category) in a game award competition.

Freeplay Independent Games AwardsIt would be good to look up other options, I'm sure there are even more awards like these out there. For example, I assume there may be one or two specifically for libre software / open source games, too. The best way to find out about other awards is to look into which awards other well-known but comparable games have won, yet. Think of Glest, 0 A.D., Spring, Wesnoth etc.
