When you are chatting and have typed something which contains special characters (such as umlauts) then try to delete what you typed by hitting backspace, while normal characters are removed immediately, special characters are replaced by a box when you first hit backspace and are ultimatively removed on the second key press. To correct, please make it so that special characters should be completely deleted on the first backspace keypress.
