If you are a developer, please build MegaGlest on your own and get in touch to contribute (or post your patches on the forums).
Most games draw the text five times; they draw it in black to the left, to the right, slightly above and slightly below, and finally draw the main text in the right place in white.
@will: Thats what i did too! But drawing everything twice already had a big effect on the fps! Thats why I did not do it :/for example options menu with my video card ( 9600GT):single text rendering: 248 fpsdouble rendering: 197 fpsso round about a loss of 50fps just for white and clear fonts!
