Interesting Giant turbine planes. I don't know if I'm a fan of their design, but is is a different take on how we view propeller planes!

That record says more about the USA train network than about jet trains ;-)

Except the highest US rail speed is considerably behind the highest rail speed in the world, for a conventional train. That record is held by the French Train à Grande Vitesse, which hit 574 km/h.



And if we're going to count unmanned rocket sleds, apparently they've peaked as high as 10,400 km/h, or mach 8.5 (which also happens to be the highest land speed, period).

yes, it looks very much like Anno 2070.
