a engineer explains the problem with standard intel compiler and benchmarks.

My suggestion could we try to optimize MEgaglest for Bulldozer? i Hoperfully will get one for chirstmas, and i would really like to see the REAL performance of a bulldozer

We don't even have support for things like hyperthreading, why should we implement something for an AMD chip that is still light years behind Intel?

I'm curious, Omega, can you explain this hyperthreading thing and how an application might support it?

Omega, The point is that the AMD chip is NOT behind Intel, it's just optimized hardware wise for multithreaded applications as i understand it, but most programs does not take advantage of this.

Lol softcoder just lol.

IN the article there is apparently a engineer of sorts that think that the AMD chip is just as stong or stronger than Intel processors.

but could the developers shred any lights on this?.
