EP regen interfering with morph command?
« on: 8 January 2012, 10:23:43 »
I have a unit that is designed to require EP before it can morph. However, the morphing stops almost immediately. When I removed the EP requirement for morphing this problem was removed.

The ep requirement is applied per skill cycle, not for the entire morph. Not sure if that is what is causing your problem or not, though.

Interesting, thanks.

I can live without it being fixed, I just abandoned my idea of using EP to prevent the AI player morphing the unit almost as soon as they build it (thus creating traffic jams near the producing building).

EP required morphing is almost broken. Unless the morph is so fast that it's done within a single cycle, the unit will use far more EP than expected. Since the EP is used each cycle, it may seem to need 100 EP, but if it takes 20 cycles to morph, it actually needs 2000 EP. And of course, that confuses the heck out of the CPU and human players alike. I for one, would like to see an optional attribute for the morph command which would require a bulk amount of EP one-time when the command is executed.
