Seriously bad mouse lag in Linux (Ubuntu 11)
« on: 23 January 2012, 17:44:22 »
I posted elsewhere regarding the graphic mouse pointer being slow in GAE under Windows Vista.  I've installed Linux Ubuntu 11 to see if I could get any better performance out of GAE on my old dual-core laptop, and I did. Units respond better, and things are a bit smoother overall. However, the mouse pointer lag is even worse. So bad it's almost unplayable, in fact.

I tried setting the mouse pointer speed and sensitivity to very fast on the Linux desktop before running GAE, but it makes no difference. Once GAE kicks in the mouse becomes incredibly sluggish. I changed the UiScrollSpeed setting in the .ini file, but this seems only to affect the screen scrolling speed.

So the question is; How can I make the mouse pointer move faster when GAE is running under Linux?
