Hi

Game was on american headless, 3 human vs 3 cpu, all Ming Faction. Suddenly game started to show errors, sth like "cannot find command for..." and server disconnected. I got a log file from the --verbose command here: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/2026535/megaglest_3.6.0.3_verbose.log.7z

This happens when the game state differs on client(s) and server, which does not happen in normal games. It does happen when players try to cheat by means of memory editing, or when players have different game data (partially broken download of game mods) etc. It could also point to a bug, but this should be observed way more often then -which is not the case for 3.6.0.3.

Another thing which might cause this is a hardware problem. Bad RAM or defective CPUs may result in single bit error or something like this. If this hits a an interisting part in the memory, the game runs out of sync too. So if one person sees this error very often when playing with other players, he should really check his system running RAM/CPU tests.

I tested memory using memtest+ (v2.11) standard test and I had no errors. Maybe memory on server should be tested? :) Besides I have "out of sync" errors quite regularly, probably because of my UMTS/HSDPA internet connection unreliability, but this one with that "cannot find..." sth appeared first time.

I doubt that's possible. It's a cheap donated virtual server.
