I wanted to make a .gif animation of the behemoth unit in eight angles (0, 45, 90, 135, 180, 225, 270, and 315 degrees). I also wanted to have some screenshots of that unit in different angles as well.
I tried to view the behemoth w/ the
.g3d viewer, but I can only see the wireframes. This is probably b/c I switch the display adapter to VGA (the graphics hardware died w/ a BSOD message). Anybody know how to remedy this? Does .tga image file formats (I know it is the 32-bit support) work for the .g3d viewer?
The next solution is the Blender w/ the
G3D support plugins. I manage to get the model and mesh to render together (in the UV/Image Editor mode), but I don't think that is enough to printscreen every desired angle (mesh becomes grey in 3D View mode). Is Blender the better choice to get the images?
EDIT (25/03/2012):
I want the Glest models in the converted form of images (preferably .bmp), eight angles. These angles are for a FPS thing. Distribution will be free to use and all that other stuff. Credits will be given to the source artists, designers, advices, etc.
The eight angles [0, 45, 90, 135, 180, 225, 270, and 315 degrees] is prefered to have all frames in animation. The use of shadows are optional, but I don't really need that.
I would usually request for the units, but the other stuff like trees, rocks, and building also work.
