« on: 17 June 2012, 11:43:58 »
Ive setup a server for the G.i.S project, untill i have a full version og G.i.S tho, it's going to run Megaglest games, if there is any problems with the server you can report them here.

The server is currently bugged, the server is updated to rev 3447 But is aware it is.
So, you can play on it with newest SVN.

I just tried to play a gameon it with another player on the Conflict map. After 80 seconds of loading the game, it was still saying "Waiting for players: Server" meaning that the server was still not ready to start the game then (it normally is in less than 5 seconds). The the game got cancelled instantly, with 'connection to server lost'. So either networking or CPU or a mixture of both seem to be the problem.

The inbound (can't test outbound obviously) route to this system looks good from here, though:

So the bottleneck seems to be either the CPU (more likely) or the outbound route (less likely). It could also be something completely different related to the virtualization you have there which just makes the game crash - check its verbose output and create core files (and analyze them) if so.
