After updating from last night revision softcoder made (revision 3437).

I was able to connect to tomreyns server.

However I had some damnh strange behavior when doing so.

When connecting to his server the screen would move as it does normally into the game lobby position(the background visually). Then while waiting for the connection to happen, i hear a trumpret you know(deee det de de deeeee, as if i were thrown back to the internet lobby). And then the entire screem freezes and the windows pause icon comes up, then after 2-3 seconds it jumps straigth into tomreyns game. Chatting and downloading tilesets works as normal.

Sounds like a lag in your connection to me. IS this always the case for internet games in mg on your connection?

No, ive played different game before were the connection were pretty much instant, some of the waiting have occoured before. but not as much.

But ive never had the screen freeze for me like that before(when i say freeze i mean the screen stops rendering).

And the windows pause icon is in my experience a sign that a application is about to crash.

I will try to get ahold of tomreyn and test this issue some more, it was with him it happend.
Posisbly get some verbose logs.(and debugs).

Just to clarify, i know that because my current connection it can be slow to make a connection to a server, but that shouldnt make the game stop rendering should it?.

I've had the screen stop rendering before when connecting to a server... pretty much just like you mentioned. I would click join server, the video transition would play and then freeze. Once it fully connected to the server, it would rain super fast (playing catch-up) and everything would be normal.

But I've also had this not happen. I've always assume it's just because it's talking to the server and not the screen ::)  (pardon my non-technical vocabulary)
Thought I'd mention it now that Coldfusionstorm brought it up.

I don't remember whether we tested this further, as you had planned, Coldfusionstorm. Can you - and MightyMic - provide an update, please, also on how this behaves on SVN head?
