[done] enable game progress saving
« on: 12 July 2012, 13:02:12 »
I am from Russia, my English is not very very well.
I am sorry if I made a lot of mistakes, if it is not so hard, correct them, please.

Megaglest is wonderfull game, but in many strategy games I can save my game progress, exit and start game from this saving point next day, for example. Please, enable this feature in your game. I think this help a lot. :)

Hi and welcome to the forums, Zhook.
This feature is already implemented in the code available in subversion (you can build/compile it yourself or, if on windows, use one of the binaries posted to the forums to give it a try - please do not expect support with this, though). It will be available in the next release.

Aaaa!
Thanks very much!
Just I used 3.6.0.1 version, now I use 3.6.0.3 version and do not found this feature.
P.S Very good game. This is more cool and harder then warcraft 3! :) I will wait for new version.

I finally managed to compile the source code since I had some problems (sigh at parallel crap and my processor with 6 cores and some missing dlls), so I tested saving and loading, looks like it works, however so far it's like autosave, no option to name your save. Would be nice to have an option to name your save file.
