enable descriptions about unit

In Heroes of AE or Warcraft III (when mouse over icon of unit-start-training button in barracks for example) I can see descriptions about unit and know what it is (heavy warior or unit just for scouting). If it is not so hard, can you enable this feature in your game(it will help a lot of new users, IMHO). I can help with descriptions and russification of descriptions, if need.

In the Glest Advanced Engine, you can add in-game units descriptions.
Take a look into articles about the GAE's "Tooltips" feature in glest wikia.

I use megaglest.
I talk about feature to read about unit before training him in barracks or other building.

GAE's tooltips do that too. Any command can be assigned a tooltip (so every one of those buttons on units can have a custom tooltip, be it a description of how an attack works or a paragraph on unit).

Uh, no. GAE is a separate engine. It may be possible for MG to import the feature from GAE, but I doubt it, as it likely has deep roots in the graphical code, which was heavily redone in GAE. It'd probably be easier (?) to recreate the feature from scratch, preferably using the same syntax as GAE, for compatibility.

I think descriptions could be good if they would be an option, because for example expert players dont really need (i think) to see the description since they know how the units work,what they do etc. so they would be on by default but could be disabled in options. And descriptions would also fix the old "problem" "names of units translate yes or no?".

My opinion: +1 to the description if they are not too hard to implement (there are more higher priorities right now i think) and they can be disabled in the options menu.
                      -1 if they can't be disabled and require a long work :)
I translated Megaglest in italian and i keep the translation updated.

 If this feature is good for mg and will start works on it, I can help with writing short descriptions for all units (you will be able to concentrate on main work(programming)) and translating them into russian. :scientist:

Yes, but not all players are expert and this can easily turn down a newbie player and a potential fan of glest, because he has no clue what are some units good for and resigned.
