First off: AWESOME!
I had an idea to do something like this in the back of my mind and next time I got on the forums your video was up :O

Sound FX
First is with the MegaGlest Logo and the sword slicing between the words, the sound fx seem a little off
Second when the archers fire their volley, a second round of sound fx plays. I suggest just removing the second playing of the sound fx

Animations
In the first scene all the flags are blowing in the wind, but when you start panning, it looks like the animation stop... it might be just because of the angle that it looks like it stops...?

I noticed the sound but I don't think It is late. Maybe if it was played 0.5 seconds earlier then it would sound better though.

Yes it was the angle. Also the wind was on low so the flags were not going very fast.

I support both engines, and as it stands, GAE is looking more or less dead, while MegaGlest has made huge strides in progress since its inception.

It's come a long way since, whereas GAE isn't even actively developed.

Somewhat off topic but I don't think its fair to say that GAE is "more or less dead" or "isn't even actively developed."

When I used to stay up later working and visited this forum more often at night I saw Ygg and Hail on almost every day and they respond to any bugs and issues and certainly provided me personally with help with bugs and other things.

The problem is that GAE caters to a tiny demographic, people who prefer single player games, and thus no one ever signs up to the forums to report bugs or ask for help and such, which for a developer, is very disheartening because you feel like no one cares about your work. I would posit that if there was more of a player base for GAE you would see a climb in activity to similar to softcoder activity levels as well as a larger push to get out new releases and new features.

Its also important to note that MG historically ported a lot of GAE features and iirc some open source blogosphere people were incorrectly attributing various features as being done by MG when really it was a port of a feature devved by the GAE team, which also is likely to cause bad feeling and loss of interest in pushing GAE further.

And of course posts talking about how dead GAE is are also unlikely to encourage devs to expend free time providing a free service to players. *glare at Omega here*

This is not the place to debate GAE matters or even MG in fact.
So please only feature requests here.
Thanks guys.

Only the beginning of sentences should start with capital letters and names.
Hum either you updated the video or the video is better the second time you watch it.

It was okay. Sound good, scene cuts also really good. I would love to see this with high quality models, some potential here.
(im mostly from a commercial video game environment so im a bit picky)  :)

(old post below from before the video update).

Didn't really like the trailer tbh.

Im going to sum up why i didn't like it.

Messy, as already said looks like "tiger studios" made the game.
Low model quality or "low res models". Does not work good for close up's

Things that i did like tho.

Overall scene cuts very nice.
Scenes where good models were mostly in front of the camera(im talking about you swordman).

Well thanks for the feedback. If you watched the new version you would notice I fixed those things you mentioned.

I know, always those damn copyright questions but where is the music from ?
We think about using this trailer as an entry video for the web page, so we must know :-/ .

And what does people think about using this video on an entry screen for the MG-web-page in general?

OH!, and i just remembered and this is important. you did not overdo the lens flare effect (the effect that passes over the letters in the start). That is very good

Some games do the pass multiply times and it looks SO STUPID.

It took a while and was more complicated than we first thought, but now its online.
Just reload megaglest.org and click on the icon ( you will know which one ) .
I hope you like it.

Currently we use normal quality (450p) for the video to reduce needed bandwidth .
