Build without a Submenu?
« on: 12 December 2012, 16:39:02 »
Was doing some research on how to Build without having the submenu.

Basically I'd like a worker to have a button that says "Build Farm". Instead of having to click on Build Basic--> Build Farm, I just want a single button.

I messed around with the XML but I still get the sub-menu.

Is this supported or do all things need to go through a submenu?

I was thinking of using the Produce command but I didn't think it would support units such as buildings that needed to be built and placed.

Anyone know?

No, it's not possible. I just peeked into the code and build command is always with submenu. There's no single click variant like in produce. As you said using produce is not an alternative.

It's probably quite easy to add a single click variant but i don't know if that's something desireable. Most worker units build multiple buildings so it makes sense to hide it behind a menu.
