I had this often when playing with Titi. He is hosting (no headless) with linux (an 3.7.2 beta i think).
I am in game with Win 7 64 and other players.

After the game ( I guess when hoster is exiting) mg crashes with error message ( see in error log) and freezes - or collapsing and windows is reporting software malfunction. Other windows-gamers in the same game were reporting the same behaviour.

see ends of logs:

http://megaglest.pzt.me/1b1c

my machine was the same as in : https://forum.megaglest.org/index.php?topic=8839.0

Please try a build of svn rev#:3998 or higher and see if this is fixed?

Thanks

where to get that from?

In the mean time something similar happend:
After long game, on windows (!) headless :

Control-player left MG, very short freeze, than lag, but stable.
Then I did the final killing all alone with cpu of headless for about 10 minutes and again : short error message, collapse...

4000 crashed today after a game hosted by  carla_BR .

there was an error message on the screen beneath the "Battle is over" window. MG stayed alive and i was able to return as usual to OS.

Funny: no error log!

screen: http://megaglest.pzt.me/3xmv

because i am not shure at which time the bug appears, complete dbug and network at http://www.fastshare.org/download/debug.zip

Perfect my new code found the right spot, try svn rev#4001 : and it should no longer show an error.

4001: same behaviour. Tom was hosting on SVN: [Rev: 4003M] - using STREFLOP [SSE] - [no-denormals] error as hoster leaves (probably). MG stable [edit:  MG 4001 client did not freeze or collapse], no error log.

If "MG stable" refers to your client, the one crashing, and means you were using release version 3.7.1, then you could not expect it to behave differently. The crash takes place on the client, so the client is what needs to be updated.

MG stable means: MG did not freeze or collapse. Error was on my client  4001.

Whats wring with showing that message? We need to do something to indicate the connection has changed.

well, showing an error when nothing is wrong seems not be very cool to me...?

how about "Game closed by server" or "server disconnected?"

anyway, if you say this behaviour is okay, then its okay for me.    :)

Maybe the window title should not say "Error detected" there but point out more to the mostly informational character of this message. "Notice", maybe?
