Screen resize and data in glestuser
« on: 5 June 2013, 19:12:07 »
I need to resize the screen from 1200 x 960 to 800 x 600. The screen is too large and three buttons at the bottom
of the screen disappear altogether, which makes playing the game a bit difficult. Where is the .glestuser.ini file
supposed to reside ? It contains the real settings otherwise the screen size cannot be changed even after
installing the program again.
My Mac (OS X Snow Leopard 10.6.8) does not contain the file. Other ways to the trick ?

I think, you weren't looking enough this file :P, but here's another method :),
start the game with this command:
Code: [Select]
megaglest --resolution=800x600

can't you just search glestuser in the OS search function? that should tell you where it is.

Since you didn't mention where you looked for the file, here's the locations as per the wiki page:

/Users/[User name]/.megaglest

Possibly also:

/Users/[User name]/Library/Application Support/MegaGlest

Note that on current OS X versions these directories are hidden by default.

Since your post is about the engine, not about modding, I've moved it to the main MegaGlest forum.

This means starting megaglest from the commandline in OS X. I will try this.
