Splash radius 0 is used for units who shouldn't actually have an area of effect at the target of their attack, but you still want to use splash particle effects. This is because if you want to include a splash particle effect, there must be a splashs radius. Setting it to zero lets you have a particle effect without an actual spash (same effect as a normal attack without a splash). The particle effects can be very useful. For example, you could have a single beam shoot down from the sky, or you could have a tiny portal of fire open up below the target, etc. Splash particle effects have some great potential, although aren't used that effectively in the MegaPack.
